Cornish College of the Arts is a private, non-profit arts college located in Seattle. It is known for its comprehensive arts education programs and its focus on fostering creativity and artistic expression across various disciplines.
Black Antelope was chosen to design and develop Cornish+, which is the new home of Cornish’s non-academic programming. It’s a new vibrant hub for creativity and learning, with studio-based classes for adults, engaging youth programs, inspiring student performances, and collaborative interdisciplinary initiatives.
Cornish+ is based on Drupal, utilizes Drupal Commerce for e-commerce, and integrates with several higher-education 3rd-party SaaS systems including Slate, Coursedog, and Jenzabar. Since the site and all of its content was new, we worked closely with Cornish staff to come up with an optimal information architecture and navigational architecture, as well as a content development workflow we could all collaborate on.
The new Cornish+ website was designed and developed with a strong focus on responsive design, ensuring a seamless user experience across all devices. It was meticulously crafted in adherence to Drupal best practices.
